Accessibility Liaison Roles

Staff and faculty accessibility liaisons have broadly similar responsibilities. Please see the following role descriptions for more details.

Faculty Liaisons

Accessible technology faculty liaisons are part of Highline’s response to updated Title II regulations regarding access to information technologies by people with disabilities. The AT liaisons represent their division by facilitating learning and action to create a college that is accessible to all, including people with disabilities.

Representatives will:

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication between faculty and the Accessible Technology Committee
  • Support faculty who are adopting or adapting resources to be accessible in collaboration with Accessible Technology and Educational Technology
  • Monitor challenges students, faculty, and staff are experiencing when they try and create accessible content and activities
  • Help establish metrics to assess the overall accessibility of instructional materials and activities
  • Engage with other accessibility liaisons across the college to streamline Highline’s accessibility efforts;

For Academic Affairs, we are looking for one division chair and up to six faculty members (one per division and ELCAP).

Time commitment

  • 1-2 90-minute meetings per quarter with the ATC and other liaisons
  • Variable – depends on the work colleagues are engaged in

Staff Liaisons
